What I’m Doing Right: Self-Care Valentine’s Edition

I’m linking up with Jaime today to celebrate what I am doing right this week.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I have decided to not only shower my girls and my husband with love and affection, but I am also showing myself loving kindness. I have worked out three times this week. Sadly I was late this morning and missed my first chance to attend a spinning class. There is always next Thursday! I ran on the treadmill and did some weight lifting.

I spent time reading and reflecting on my spirituality as we enter into the Lenten season. I participated in a Valentine’s Day chant and healing circle hosted by my sweet friend Yael of Mama’s Comfort Camp. I spent time reading blogs which inspire me. I also spent lots of time writing this week. Writing and being creative nourishes my soul and my mind. Happy Valentine’s Day! Wishing you all a day full of love and happiness!

Trying to tame my inner perfectionist and just be a good enough mom.

Yay for self-care, especially the kind that nourishes the soul. Your post has inspired me to show myself some lovingkindness today.

    • So happy that I inspired you Jaime. I was tempted to beat myself up this morning for missing the spinning class. I realized that I could not start the day off like that. I made a commitment to myself to get in a great workout, and I did.
